Brian Pulido’s signature character—Lady Death—pays homage to the Mexican Day of the Dead celebrations in a breathtaking new cold-cast porcelain sculpture by Clayburn Moore for The CS Moore Studio.
Moore’s work brings feminine power to life like no other sculptor and Lady Death La Muerta continues that tradition in grand form. Moore has created several memorable Lady Death statues over the years, and was looking to do something different and dramatic with the character, while still showcasing the character’s raw sex appeal.
“When Brian and I decided to do another Lady Death project, I couldn’t have been happier,” said Moore. “Lady Death is one of the most well known female characters in independent comics and she’s always a terrific subject to sculpt. I saw the beautiful La Muerta illustrations Richard Ortiz had done for Brian’s Coffin Comics and was absolutely blown away, knowing it would make for an incredible look as a sculpture.”
Every aspect of the hauntingly beautiful, 12″ tall Lady Death La Muerta Statue has intricate detail that makes each viewing a pleasure – from her flowing face and back tattoos, to the gorgeous hibiscus flowers in her hair, the Mexican stylized skulls and flowers on the ornate base, and the powerful staff adorned with a polished skull.
“Clayburn Moore truly outdid himself on this astounding rendition of Lady Death,” said Pulido. “He captured all the beauty and majesty of the diva of death fans have come to know and expect.”
The Lady Death La Muerta Statue will be strictly limited to an edition size of 1500 and is scheduled to ship in February 2014. Don’t miss this unbelievable new take on Lady Death—preorder now atwww.csmoorestudio.com.
