Regardless of which way you might lean politically, one upshot from this exhausting election season has been the droves of last-minute benefits reuniting the casts and creators of popular shows and movies. With one week until Election Day, this trend is continuing: The cast of the raunchy 2007 coming-of-age comedy Superbad will be virtually reuniting for a "watch party" on October 27 at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET in a benefit for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. To attend, you can make a donation of any size--though note that the website automatically pre-selects $24.20 as your intended donation when you first get there. Director Judd Apatow and actors Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Emma Stone, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Seth Rogen, Judd Apatow, Bill Hader, Martha MacIsaac, Greg Mottola, and Evan Goldberg will be among those "joking and providing live commentary from beginning to end." In other words, this will be a Mystery Science Theater 3000-style presentation. The event's website notes that the virtual reunion will only be livestreamed once--so this will not be showing up on YouTube later.
"We are thrilled to have the cast of Superbad join us in the fight to defeat our super awful president," Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Ben Wikler told said in a statement (via Deadline). "With the help of our talented guests, we know that we can win this election for Wisconsin and for the country. Laugh with us as we raise the funds and mobilize the volunteers we need to finish this race strong." Continue Reading at GameSpot
