Taylor Swift gives perfect side eye.

Taylor Swift was the irrefutable Queen of the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards. In addition to her circus-themed performance of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" (Taylor's amazing circus jacket, top hat, and sparklers, FTW!), Taylor took home three EMA awards, had a good chat with David Hasselhoff, found a new bestie in Lana Del Rey, and although we didn't think it possible, managed to look EVEN MORE SURPRISED THAN USUAL at her win(s). So if all that good stuff happened, then why's she throwing mad side eye on? We have theories.

The thing is, we totally get Nicki Minaj werquing the eye roll, but Taylor Swift? The very same girl who's obsessed with her cat Meredith, sits in cafés and rides vintage-looking bikes in Paris, and who, ahem, just sold 1.2 MILLION records? We just don't buy it. Could it be that one of Taylor's false lashes got in her eye and she threw side eye to alleviate the annoyance? Maybe she was mildly hungry? (We always get a little un-smiley when we're peckish?) Or perhaps her contacts were dry and itchy? Yep, that's gotta be it, because a world where Taylor Swift INTENTIONALLY THROWS SHADE is just a world that DOES NOT exist.
