Denver's Air Dubai is on the come up, y'all!
Meet Denver's Air Dubai. Maybe you're asking yourself, "Why would they call themselves 'Dubai' if they're from Denver?" Could it be that flights to Dubai are a little nicer? Yeah, that must be it. We'll take those plush-looking seats and giant food trays over Southwest Airlines ANY DAY. But getting back to our new favorite band, Air Dubai have just unleashed their brand-new single, "Warning," a pop-meets-hip-hop-meets-too-cool-for-school track that's bound to inspire a LOT of Google stalking ...in fact, we'd recommend spacing out about three hours per member -- which is coincidentally a great way to kill time on a flight.

Forming back in 2008, Air Dubai kicked off when high school friends Jon Shockness and Julian Thomas decided to start a hip-hop duo. Once the boys grew out of prerecorded tracks, they took on Nick Spreigl (drums), Lawrence Grivich (guitar), Michael Ray (keyboard/synth), and Taylor Tait (bass).
Judging by the subtle (yet totally endearing) color-coordination in their above photo, these bros look seriously down to earth and would probably never brag about their accomplishments... so we'll just have to do it for them! And there's lots to say -- not only are the Hopeless Records signees slated to play at this year's SXSW, but Alternative Press Magazine also named them one of 100 Bands You Need To Know in 2013. Once they're done playing SXSW, the bros will head to the upcoming Kanrocksas Music Festival where they'll share the bill with fun., Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Passion Pit, and "Hottest MC In The Game," Kendrick Lamar! Which is not a big deal WHATOSEVER. In sum, the boys are basically one hit single away from having enough dough to one day launch Air Dubai. You know, their own airline. Named after their famous band.
