Meet Durham, North Carolina six-piece, Delta Rae.

Soooo, have you ever wondered what would happen if you took the sweet male-female harmonies of Fleetwood Mac, the grittiness of Mumford & Sons and then blended them with the stompy fervor of Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" and some bluegrass twang? OK, we actually have wondered that, and we can now confirm that the answer is Delta Rae.

Meet Durham, North Carolina six-piece band, Delta Rae. They're one giant family. Literally, the band is made up of siblings Ian Holljes, Eric Holljes, Brittany Holljes and their pals Elizabeth Hopkins, Mike McKee and Grant Emerson. Delta Rae formed when, after graduating college, Ian and Eric rounded up Brittany and asked her to start a band with them. Shortly after, they brought in Elizabeth Hopkins and set up a home in the woods to hone their craft. (That's very Bon Iver of them.) Mike and Grant joined in 2010, and it was only at a whopping six-member tally that the group finally felt complete.

Eventually, Delta Rae signed with Warner, and things started rolling from there. Just last month, the band released Carry The Fire, a 12-song collection featuring the group's killer harmonies and menacing percussion. And they're becoming a bigger deal than ever: The band recently performed their baptismal "Bottom Of The River" on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," and they've racked up features in Rolling Stone, Billboard, Elle and Forbes, plus an almost-holy Twitter co-sign from Pharrell. And did we mention Carry The Fire is their debut album? Watch out, because the fire's spreading.
