Discovery announced today the year-long celebration for the 25th anniversary of the animated series “The Powerpuff Girls,” from Cartoon Network. For more than a quarter of a century “The Powerpuff Girls” Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup have empowered generations of girls and young women across the globe and served as strong, capable and independent role models. The studio will celebrate the milestone with new “The Powerpuff Girls”-inspired anniversary products, TV programming, a social filter, digital experiences, and promotions helping fans around the world discover how “The Powerpuff Girls” are more than characters on a show — they are an enduring symbol of sisterhood and self-respect that has left an indelible mark on generations of fans.
