The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's official modding tool, REDkit, will be available May 21, developer CD Projekt Red has announced. It will be a free download for those who own The Witcher 3 on PC.

As CD Projekt Red explains in the tool's description on Steam, users will have the ability to edit almost anything within the developer's critically acclaimed open-world RPG. They'll also be able to make entirely new additions like new quests, items, environments, and characters, complete with new animations and storylines.

"The Witcher 3 REDkit is more than just a game development tool--it's a love letter to our community!" CD Projekt RED states on the tool's Steam page. "With The Witcher 3 REDkit, you can share your ideas, and inspire others to create a unique gaming experience that is truly your own.
