Meet our latest mashup obsession: "Live Like We're Gonna Die Young."

Remember that sick mashup of  Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and Kanye West's "Homecoming" called "We Are Never Ever Coming Home Again?" Of course do you! And guess what? Mashup creator/DJ extraordinaire No Pets Allowed is at it again with "Live Like We're Gonna Die Young" which is, as you might have already guessed, a mashup of Ke$ha's  "Die Young" and One Direction's "Live While We're Young." And IT'S AMAZING! In fact -- and don't tell Ke$ha and/or 1D Stans we said this -- it's very possible that we like this mashup more than each song on its own. Bold words, but we're owning 'em.

Honestly, we're not even sure how to even begin discussing this mashup. THERE'S SO MUCH TO DECONSTRUCT. No Pets Allowed has created a magical world where Ke$ha and One Direction seamlessly transition from singing each other's songs, which basically makes them musical BFFs. The song begins with Ke$ha's first "Die Young" verse, and before you know it you're all like, "let's go crazy crazy crazy till we see the sun," and then you're like "WTF, how'd that just happen?" It's all very mystical and mind-boggling, but we gotta say, this mashup may actually be in our 2012 list of Top Ten Pop Songs. Also, good luck not listening to this every day for the rest of your life. Our neighbors have already filed a complaint.
