Last year's Transformers: Rise of the Beasts finally brought the Maximals and Predacons to the big screen for the first time. The seventh installment of the long-running franchise was set after 2018's Bumblebee in the Transformers cinematic timeline, but before the events of the original film. It was the film's mid-credit stinger that separated it from the rest of the pack as it acknowledged another big Hasbro property. Noah (Anthony Ramos) attends an interview for a security job but soon discovers he is being invited to join the secret military organization G.I. Joe, who will cover his younger brother's healthcare. A crossover film was inevitable and now The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Derek Connolly, whose work includes big franchises like Jurassic World, Kong: Skull Island, and Detective Pikachu, will roll out the script for the feature, potentially starring Chris Hemsworth in an unrevealed role (fingers crossed for Duke or Destro).
