WHAT: You’ve seen Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla. You’ve even seen Godzilla vs. Kong. Now, prepare for the ultimate showdown when Godzilla comes face-to-face with San Francisco Giants mascot, Lou Seal! In celebration of Japanese Heritage Night at Oracle Park on Friday, May 17, Toho International is partnering with the San Francisco Giants in collaboration with the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (JCCCNC) to bring baseball fans a first-ever Godzilla VIP experience. The King of the Monsters will take center stage at the event, where fans will have access to sweeping Oracle Park views, complimentary food and beverages, exclusive photo opportunities, and more.
The special event will begin at 5:15 pm PT when VIP ticket holders can enjoy:
- Access to the Triples Alley and a view of batting practice
- Complimentary food and beverages
- Photo opportunities, featuring a Godzilla wall that will live at Oracle Park throughout the 2024 season
VIP ticket holders will also receive two (2) exclusive items: one (1) Japanese Heritage Cherry Blossom Giants jersey, and one (1) Godzilla Bobblehead showcasing the ultimate face-off between the King of the Monsters – modeled after Godzilla in Godzilla Minus One – and Giants mascot, Lou Seal.
Toho International’s partnership with the San Francisco Giants is one of the many ways the brand is celebrating Godzilla’s 70th anniversary this year. On November 3, 1954, Godzilla made its film debut in the original Gojira – starting what would become the longest continuously-running film franchise in history. Celebrating 70 years of cinematic excellence, Toho International is collaborating with both mainstream entertainment and subculture icons to bring fans new and exciting ways to connect with the King of the Monsters. Additional partnerships, exclusive products, and fan activations at key events will be announced throughout the year leading up to Toho’s official 70th-anniversary celebration on Godzilla Day on Sunday, November 3, 2024.
Tickets for the Godzilla VIP Experience are now on sale and available for purchase at mlb.com/giants/tickets/specials/godzilla#vip. Partial proceeds from each special event ticket will benefit the JCCCNC, an organization committed to celebrating the diverse Japanese community and its people.

ABOUT THE SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS
One of the oldest teams in Major League Baseball, the 141-year-old franchise moved to San Francisco from New York in 1958. After playing a total of 42 years in Seals Stadium and Candlestick Park, the team moved to the privately constructed, downtown ballpark on the corner of 3rd and King in 2000. The organization is widely recognized for its innovative business practices and baseball excellence having been named in the past decade the Sports Organization of the Year by Street & Smith’s Sports Business Journal, Organization of the Year by Baseball America, and ESPN’s Sports Humanitarian Team of the Year. Oracle Park is also the only ballpark in the country to have earned Silver, Gold, and Platinum LEED certification for an existing building.
Since opening its gates, Oracle Park has become internationally-renowned as a premier venue in the world of both sports and entertainment. On the diamond, more than 66 million spectators have witnessed countless magical moments, including three World Series Championships (2010, 2012 & 2014), the raising of four National League Pennants, and eight playoff appearances. The ballpark has also hosted some of music’s biggest acts, including Dead & Company, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé & Jay-Z, Ed Sheeran, the Rolling Stones, the Eagles, Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band, Green Day and Billy Joel.
