Two Point Hospital, which originally released for PC in 2018, will finally release on Switch, PS4, and Xbox One relatively soon. The game, which was originally scheduled to arrive in late 2019 before being delayed, will now arrive on February 25, 2020, letting console players get in on the hospital empire business. The game's console release was originally announced in July of this year. In Two Point Hospital, players have to build manage their own hospitals, while working out how to cure patients who present a series of mysterious, fictional ailments. You play the hospital manager, and it's up to you to develop your hospitals into successful, profitable, effective enterprises. There are also ghosts to deal with, because Two Point Hospital is a comedy game first and foremost. The console version features a completely rebuilt control scheme.
Two Point Hospital is a spiritual successor to the classic Bullfrog title Theme Hospital, and was designed by some of the creators who worked on that game. It's designed to evoke that title, while also introducing plenty of new ideas. The game features 119 unusual illnesses, and the console version will come with both expansions released for the PC game: "Bigfoot" and "Pebberley Island." Console players will be able to explore 21 regions, and build hospitals for them. The original PC version of Two Point Hospital received an 8/10 in our review. Reviewer James Swinbanks praised the game as an effective follow-up to an older classic. "The exaggerated, cartoon look and relaxed approach to management make it inviting enough for most players, while the deeper aspects of its economy are enough to keep seasoned players engaged. Two Point Hospital not only re-works an old formula into something modern and enjoyable, it also iterates on the classic brand of irresistible charm and wit, making something that’s truly wonderful."
