Future pays homage to the late Pimp C in "Long Live The..."
We know musicians have (and love) their influences, but we're betting very few will actually take the time to honor them at length the way Atlanta's Future does in his latest "Long Live The..." clip. With some help from Houston rhymer Trae The Truth, Future pays homage to the late, great Southern rapper Pimp C, formerly of UGK (Underground Kingz), in a song on Future's debut, Pluto.

At the top of the video, we find Future and Trae surrounded by a BUNCH of tricked-out cars as they party it up with an exclusive crew in a parking lot. Eventually, the rappers actually drive the vehicles through Houston as Future spits about his deference to Pimp C, "Long live Chad/ The dirty South love ya/ I'm coming down, tippin', smoking, reminiscing/ Underground Kingz: You a legend in my memory." Yes, Future is a huge star (one who collabos with Rihanna), but he's also the kind of rapper who will always remember to give his idols credit where it's due. And as someone on the fast track to idol-worthy status, we think that's probably not a coincidence.
