Get ready, True Believers—Saturday, May 5 is Free Comic Book Day 2018!

To celebrate, local comic book shops everywhere will be offering some brand-new Marvel stories featuring your favorite characters! Marvel Comics Executive Editor Tom Brevoort says, “Marvel’s two Free Comic Book Day releases feature the inaugural installments of our new AVENGERS, CAPTAIN AMERICA, and AMAZING SPIDER-MAN series, by our very finest talent! These aren’t pulled from the first issues in question, they’re entirely new stories done especially for the FCBD issue! So don’t be caught short!”

Free Comic Book Day CAPTAIN AMERICA, by Ta-Nehisi Coates and Leinil Yu, is the first issue of this all-star duo’s run with Steve Rogers! Teeing up a story that begins with CAPTAIN AMERICA #1 on July 4, Coates—writer of BLACK PANTHER—joins Yu for a fresh perspective on the Sentinel of Liberty.

Free Comic Book Day AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, by Nick Spencer, Ryan Ottley, Cliff Rathburn, and Laura Martin, kicks off another new creative team’s run with an iconic Marvel super hero—Peter Parker! Artist Ryan Ottley makes his Marvel debut alongside renowned writer Nick Spencer ahead of their July 11 launch of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1!

Free Comic Book Day AVENGERS, by Jason Aaron, Sara Pichelli, and Justin Ponsor, unites Earth’s Mightiest Heroes around the “Big Three” super heroes of the Marvel Universe—Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man! Jump on board with this special issue as Jason Aaron continues his brand-new run alongside the super squad!

Free Comic Book Day MARVEL RISING #0, by Devin Grayson and Marco Failla, with a cover from Helen Chen, as Ms. Marvel and Squirrel Girl meet for the first time in a twist of fate, discovering each other’s secret identities in a classic super hero first meeting!
