Picking your favorite 2012 MTV VMA performance is kind of like picking your favorite child. Tough, but you know that every parent secretly does it anyway, so why not just quietly embrace it? In case you're still in a daze from all the sick performances that went down tonight, here's a quick recap: Decked out in a head-to-toe Egyptian ensemble (obvs), Rihanna opened the show by performing "Cockiness" and "We Found Love" with an assist from A$AP Rocky. The girl power moment continued when Pink took the stage, and amid a sea of Busby Berkeley-esque (or Twizzler-like, depending on your frame of reference) dancing red lips, slayed her performance of "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)." And let us not forget the 10-second snippet of "Get The Party Started," which obviously earns her an extra 10,000 bonus points. IMHO.
Things slowed down a bit when Frank Ocean hit the stage to deliver his introspective, unparalleled performance of "Thinkin Bout You," followed by the piercing screams of 100,000 (or so) ecstatic girls during One Direction's "One Thing" performance.
