Focus Home Interactive will publish a space-faring real-time strategy game based Battlefleet Armada, a tabletop game set in Games Workshop Warhammer 40,000 universe, the company has announced. Unlike the original Warhammer 40,000 tabletop games, which have been adapted into RTS games before with the Dawn of War, Battlefleet Gothic focuses on the space battles that take place in the war-torn universe as opposed to planetside battles. Battlefleet Gothic: Armada is being made by Etherium developer Tindalos Interactive on Unreal Engine 4, and will feature spaceships from the familiar Imperial, Chaos, Eldar, and Ork faction as they battle for control of the Gothic sector of space. Players will manage every ship during and between battles, and will be able to customize weaponry, defense, and support subsystems. Surviving ships will also gain experience and promotions from battle to battle, improving as you progress through the game. Battlefleet Gothic: Armada doesn't have a release date yet, but Focus Home Interactive said we should learn more about it "very soon." If you're a Warhammer fan, you'll probably be happy to hear that Rome: Total War, and Shogun: Total War developer Creative Assembly is working on a Total War game set in the Warhammer universe.
