We wouldn't exactly say that Ariana Grande came out of nowhere (remember her starring role as Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon's "Victorious" AND her major cameo in Justin Bieber's "Die In Your Arms" video?), but to the non-Nickelodeon crowd, this gal is kiiiind of a newcomer! And what better way is there to make an entrance than by recording (and nailing) an a capella version of Whitney Houston's classic "I Believe In You And Me"? (Well, releasing "The Way," her sick collaboration with Mac Miller, probably also helped, but we'll take both.)
Watch Ariana Grande cover Whitney Houston's "I Believe In You And Me" after the jump.
Recorded as a follow-up to an earlier recording (her first Whitney cover was a little on the quiet side), Ariana came armed only with her voice and a mic, which is really all you need when you've got PIPES FOR DAYS. This time around, her delivery is softer, sweeter, and stays true to Whitney's original melody. Yeah, so, we've already said this, but once more for emphasis: Ariana Grande may very well be the Next Big Thing in pop! Also, can you believe it took us this long to talk about how pretty she is? 'Cause, like, MODEL STATUS.
