Frontman Mark Fuller performs with Gold Fields at NYC's Bowery Ballroom.
It's a little startling to see how quickly Australia's Gold Fields have risen in the dance-pop ranks (we only just caught them opening for Diamond Rings last December), but we think you'll fully understand why after watching them tear through a set of driving tribal drumbeats and crazy hooky dance melodies at their "Live In NYC" performance. True, the electro-dance-rock quintet have only got one four-song EP to their name, but it's a powerful one, featuring synth-laden playlist staple tracks like "Dark Again" and "Treehouse." Now prepping to release their debut LP, Black Sun, via Astralwerks next week, the MTV Artists To Watch for 2013 recently unleashed a jaw-droppingly tight performance at NYC's Bowery Ballroom, featuring "Dark Again," "Treehouse," "Moves," and "Happy Boy."
