It looks like we'll be getting our first substantial look at Mirror's Edge Catalyst gameplay this week. Publisher EA published a short gameplay teaser today, and announced that more news and gameplay is coming soon. The video is short, but it's beautiful. It's running in 60 frames per second and shows off the Mirror's Edge city. It's mostly just a panoramic view of the skyline, but there's also a short glimpse of the game's free-running action. Check it out below:
EA also stated that a more in-depth look at Mirror's Edge Catalyst is coming this week to coincide with the Gamescom conference. It's likely that we'll see more footage of the game during EA's press conference, which takes place at 12:30 AM PDT/8:30 AM in Germany on August 5. Mirror's Edge Catalyst launches on February 23, 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You won't use guns, the developer confirmed at E3 this year. You can read our hands-on impressions of the game here. EA also revealed that it will show off gameplay of Star Wars Battlefront's Fighter Squadron mode later this week.
