Sony has officially revealed the PS5 Pro, and as you’d expect, it’s the most powerful gaming console developed by the team--featuring a GPU that gets you up to 45% faster rendering, AI-driven upscaling, and advanced ray tracing. It comes with a 2TB SSD, but all of the games you install will be downloaded from the PlayStation Store, because the PS5 does not have a disc drive. That means existing PS5 owners will need to pick up the official PS5 Disc Drive for $80 to play their collection of physical games on PS5 Pro. With the PS5 Pro arriving on November 7, the disc drive attachment is bound to be more popular than usual. Considering the number of shortages on PS5 accessories over the years, you may want to grab the disc drive attachment before PS5 Pro preorders open on September 26. The PS5 Disc Drive released last holiday as an attachment for the PS5 Slim Digital Edition, though Sony made sure it’s supported by the upcoming PS5 Pro. Installing the device takes only a few minutes, and once set up, you’ll get access to all your physical games and movies. It’s available at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop, and Target, though we wouldn't be surprised to see it sell out once PS5 Pro preorders open later this month, or when the holiday shopping season is in full swing when the PS5 Pro arrives November 7.
