Nintendo announced latest console will launch in ANZ territory end of November; basic 8GB launch hardware pack will cost A$349.95, premium 32GB launch hardware pack will cost A$429.95; launch line-up includes Black Ops II, Bayonetta 2 exclusive.

Nintendo has announced the Wii U console will launch in Australia and New Zealand on November 30. An 8GB basic model in white will be available for A$349.95, while the 32GB premium model in black will cost A$429.95.

The Wii U basic model pack will come with a 8GB console, a Wii U GamePad, an AC adapter, HDMI cable, and a sensor bar. The Wii U premium model pack will include everything from the basic set, as well as additional memory (32GB in total), a stand for the console and GamePad, a charging cradle for the GamePad, and a copy of Nintendo Land.

The premium model for the Wii U will also feature the Nintendo Network Premium reward program, which was unveiled by Nintendo this week. The program grants points for digital purchases in the Nintendo eShop (valued at around 10 percent of the original price in the eShop). The credit can then be used for future purchases, once users reach a minimum of 500 points. Nintendo said the rewards program is currently scheduled to run until the end of 2014.

In regards to launch titles for the new console, Nintendo Australia referred to the line-up as "the strongest line-up of launch software in Nintendo history." Third-party launch titles for the Wii U include FIFA 13, Call Of Duty: Black Ops II, ZombiU, and Rayman Legends. First-party launch titles include Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U. (See below for full list.)

Overnight, Nintendo also announced a handful of upcoming Wii U-exclusive titles, including TT Games' Lego City: Undercover, Capcom's Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and the Platinum Games-developed Bayonetta 2 (which will be published by Nintendo) and The Wonderful 101 (previously known as P-100).

Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg also confirmed overnight that Skylanders Giants, 007 Legends, Transformers Prime: The Game, and Wipeout 3 are all coming to the Wii U, in addition to Black Ops II.

Nintendo also revealed that Wii U games will have a price point of US$59.99 in North America. No local details regarding local price points have been announced.

Nintendo also showed off titles that can be played on the GamePad alone, including Trine 2: Director's Cut, Toki Tori 2, and Nano Assault Neo, all available on the Nintendo eShop.

In addition, the publisher re-confirmed that nearly all Wii peripherals will be compatible with the Wii U console (for example, users will not have to repurchase a Wii Remote Plus controller). For players who don't already own a Wii console, Nintendo revealed a Wii Remote Plus Additional Set containing a Wii Remote Plus controller, Nunchuk, and sensor bar. Nintendo also stated that most Wii download software is compatible with Wii U, including previously-purchased WiiWare and Virtual Console titles, which will be transferable to the Wii U.
