World in Conflict dev hiring for next-gen

Malmo, Sweden-based Ubisoft Massive seeking online programmer for mystery next-generation project.

World in Conflict developer Ubisoft Massive can now be added to the list of studios working on next-generation projects. A requisition for an online game programmer at the Malmo, Sweden-based shop seeks a staffer to work on a next-gen title.

The project is described as a "modern AAA online game," but no further details on the title are available. As of press time, Ubisoft had not responded to GameSpot's request for comment.

Ubisoft Massive is presently assisting Ubisoft Montreal on development of Far Cry 3. The studio previously contributed to Assassin's Creed: Revelations and also created the Ground Control series in addition to World in Conflict.

Ubisoft Massive joins a long list of studios working on next-generation projects, including NetherRealm Studios, Naughty Dog, Remedy Entertainment, Bethesda, and Ready at Dawn. Publisher Electronic Arts is gearing up for the next wave of consoles, too, last week revealing it will invest $80 million in future-generation development in 2012.
